From an Idea to a ready Light Fitting

... at Dotzauer (almost) nothing is impossible!

Since years DOTZAUER DECORATIVE LIGHTING is the specialist for custom made light fittings in the field of crystal chandeliers and decorative lighting. To fulfill the high expectations of our clients (architects, interior designers and demanding aficionados of selected lighting), our only therefore installed design department takes care of technical engineering & realisation as well as preparation of the production. especially fascinating is the fact, that nearly no project is like any other and our engineering-team is challenged every time with e.g. materials, statics, production techniques or lighting issues again.

Basically all projects do have a few things in common:

At the beginning there is a DESIGN-IDEA, which shall cover a certain demand of light and integrate ideal in a room.

Visualisations (drawings, images, sketches) of the ideas are serving as a starting point for all further steps. Preffered are drawings which do show the desired light fitting in the area it should come in.

Based on the desired measurements and with a view of technical feasibility, first drawings (visuals, renderings) are done via computer aided 3d programs, which present a first glimpse of the final product. At this stage we do of course work very closely and do communicate a lot with our clients, to make the process transparent and to achieve the desired result.

After defining all technical details and approval of the shop-drawings we are preparing the drawings for production and nearly almost each and every part of the decorative crystal chandelier is drawn in original scale and shape. The production can start now.

Especially working on big projects or completely new developments, it's not special that some parts are inspected and approved during production.

After production is finished, all fittings are tested against valid regulatons (CE, EN, UL, ...), are going to be packed and released for delivery.
